For me, The Louvre is a very interesting building that has inspired me due to it's distinct ability to simply strand the old and the new; each serving to complement each other. The pyramid structures known as Pei's Pyramids serve as a perfect complement and counterpoint to the traditional building. Paul Heyer puts it; "it is a compelling brave concept whose intent is to be neither aggressive nor subservient but to complement through restraint.” This is something I would really like to portray as I learn to become an architect.
This piece was inspired by a friend called Grant Murphy who encouraged me to grab every opportunity that I can, and finding the colour, trust and hope that things can change regardless of what barrier or challenge i am confronted by. Like all artwork, it is this inspiration for me that will always be able to transcend the elements of time.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKtdTX8MlEXnhk9bXqsO3m04_Pvy_8tSdxnYCjMMuxyJfqJBXCk3iOWDz5NCSXMWDTxrW5JEG28CR9kTDZTo9u8wmkf7XvTV2N4wXAXIzXx04ugz-TZrk2JSaxA7yoeVz8YYKkKwfQEsA/s320/Vespa.jpg)
